Some warm weather and surf came together. Well maybe not real surf, but after a winter with no wave action at all, it felt like real surf. And since our paddling muscles hadn’t been used much, then forced inside a 4/3 wetsuit, it was all the surf we could handle.
Beach weather on both Sunday and Monday was in the mid 70’s, with off shore breezes.Warm, sunny, with strong hints that summer was coming soon.
Waves were in the 2 -3 foot range, with a (very) occasional wave that might have been close to 4’. Water is still way too cold to surf naked, but once you’re finished, the beach is perfect for nude relaxation.
Sunday was more crowded (no surprise there) with maybe 100 naked people on the sand. Lots of surfers, a few couples and the regular assortment of single guys that just come and hang out. Monday was a much lighter crowd, but still at least 50 people having some naked fun.
Beyond surfing we played some Frisbee on the sand at low tide, but couldn’t play long as we were still sore from our trip to DeAnza Springs, a very fun nudist resort in the mountains behind San Diego. We went there on Saturday and managed to do a great nude hike, played pool, horseshoes, basketball, tennis, shuffleboard and water volleyball. All naked. We’re going back in a few weeks to do a full report.
Rain is forecast to start falling tonight in Southern California, but we got three great naked days this weekend. One at DeAnza, and two at San Onofre. And we’ve got a fun nude hike planned to Deep Creek Hot Springs planned for May 2. Soon we won’t have to worry about the weather and can plan nude adventures anytime. Can’t wait.
