A few weeks ago it was cloudy and cool on the coast and we were ready to try something nude and new. We’d heard about DeAnza Springs in the mountains behind San Diego so decided to give it a try. It was great.
Our constant travel companions are a backpack with towels and sunscreen, a Frisbee, a well-traveled igloo playmate with a days worth of food &drink, a Flip video camera and an appetite for fun. We got there early and it was still cool, so we drove a few miles further and did some off-roading in Anza Borrego. Lots of sand, a few hills and some fun.
We got back to DeAnza about 10:30, checked in with the very friendly office team and then decided on a nude hike. Tossed the clothes in the car and headed up the trail to the boulder strewn mountain behind the resort. We lost the trail but made our way up the mountain, and came down the back side. A little over 3 miles through great desert scenery, all of it with nothing but tennis shoes.
Back at the resort we tried a sampling of everything they have to offer – but couldn’t finish the list. We played some nude pool in the clubhouse, then went for horseshoes,
followed by some naked basketball. DeAnza has all the equipment ready for use and there’s no additional charge for anything. We continued on with some tennis, learned to play naked shuffleboard and finally joined the nude water volleyball game about 2:30.
The water volleyball was a highlight. Teams of up to 15 people per side in a big indoor pool, with an expandable court size (a clever system with floating ropes and various anchor points. Some of the players are good, some just there for the social recreation. Everyone is having fun and getting into the good times. The crowd is mostly older, but there were a few young couples and everyone gets along well.
Then it was time to go, but we made it back a few weeks later and still didn’t get everything done. We know we’ll be back and look forward to the fun times.
If you live in Southern California and like nude fun, a trip to DeAnza Springs Nude Resort is something you need to do sooner than later. See you there.
